When purchasing goods from theredmudhut.co.uk you are entering into a legally binding agreement with us on the following terms. You should read these terms carefully as they may affect your legal rights.

Definitions of terms:

Terms and Conditions: The contract of the sale and purchase of goods between yourselves and theredmudhut.co.uk.

Delivery area: Mainland UK excluding the Highlands and Islands, we can deliver anywhere in the world but please contact us for charges.

Goods: The pots and planters available on the site.

General conditions of sale

1. Making a purchase

1.1 A contract is made for us to sell you goods when we accept an order from you made via our site.

1.2 To make a purchase simply browse through the site, adding to the cart any items you may wish to purchase. Once you have finished your order click on view cart, agree to the terms and conditions and proceed to check out. It is important that these details are filled in correctly and fully for delivery purposes.

1.3 Orders are accepted if goods are available and your credit or debit card is authorised for the transaction by our third-party payments provider (Paypal).

1.4 All orders and payments are acknowledged by email and will begin processing as soon as payment and order confirmation is received. Delivery timeframes are dependent on delivery service selected and geographic location stipulated during checkout.

1.5 We will charge your credit or debit card account for payment on receipt of your order. We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed due to incorrect payment details.

1.6 Our online ordering is secure and powered by PAypal who provide high levels of internet and physical security to ensure sensitive information is never compromised. For detailed data handling and usage terms, please see our privacy policy section. Alternatively, you may wish to send a cheque payment. Orders will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared. All payments must be made in pounds sterling.

1.7 We will take the utmost care to keep all information connected with your order secure in accordance with national data privacy guidelines (please see our Privacy policy section). We cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any data, including credit and account details you provide when accessing or ordering from the web site, unless this is solely due to our negligence.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 You have 7 working days in which to cancel your order should you change your mind. If you should cancel your order, this must be done in writing via email. You will be responsible for returning the goods within 10 days from written notification, in the condition in which they were sent. We will not pay for the goods to be returned to us, for your protection we recommend a recorded delivery service to return the goods.

2.2 To receive a full refund goods must be returned in the same packaging, in their original condition, undamaged and unused.

3. Delivery

33.1 All deliveries our conducted by our trusted third-party courier for both courier and pallet freight. Our delivery charges for mainland UK are as follows:

Please allow 3 - 10 working days for your delivery to arrive (Deliveries in London and the home counties will be far quicker)

Flat rate courier
not including Scottish Highlands, British Islands and Ireland:

£30.00 for mainland UK
for individual lightweight planters, though in some cases this might be higher. 

Pallet delivery
(heavy/large/fragile planters -not including Scottish Highlands, British Islands and Ireland): 

£30.00 per pallet.

We will do our best to ensure items are consolidated onto as few pallets as possible in a safe manner. Delivery is to the roadside only. It is essential you make arrangements to off load the goods when receiving the delivery. If the customer is not there to receive a pre-arranged delivery, we reserve the right to charge the customer a £34.50 handling charge. If there is a failed delivery attempt a failed delivery and re-delivery charge will be applicable.

Damaged Items & Returns

We make every effort to prevent any damage to our products during transit; however, due to the nature of national courier delivery, incidents do occur.

Therefore, please adhere to the following guidance: 

Signed for:
If you are asked to sign for your goods, please inspect the items fully before providing your signature. Once you have signed for the goods it may not be possible to prove that the damage occurred before they came into your possession.

Goods left without signature:
If your goods are not signed for on receipt, please inform us of any damages/discrepancies within 24 hours of receipt.

All acceptable damage notifications will be replaced free of charge. If you decide to cancel your order at this point, the goods must be returned to us at your expense.

Goods left in a 'safe place' appointed by the Customer are left at Customer's own risk.

Shipping

For orders outside of the UK, please contact us for a quote. We have extensive experience in shipping worldwide and will be able to provide a suitable freight solution.

3.2 We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery of your order. It is important this address is accurate, and the goods are signed for. If the goods cannot be signed for, please leave specific instructions where they must be left in the instruction box when you place your order.

3.3 Due to the often-fragile nature of our products, it is imperative that we deliver first time around. Unless given specific details as to where an item may be left in the event that you are not at home, the item will be left on your premises at a location of our discretion. Please note if you instruct us to leave with a neighbour, and the neighbour is not at home we will attempt to leave with another neighbour and advise you of this.

3.4 Please allow 3 to 10 working days for your goods to be delivered. If delivery is delayed due to causes beyond our control, we will extend the delivery time by a reasonable period and contact you with the new arrangements.

3.5 We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered.

4. Privacy Policy

Your contact details will be kept on file for future reference and we may from time to time mail you with special offers or feedback requests. No information of any kind is forwarded to any other company, except the couriers. Please let us know at any time if you do not want any further information from us. We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
